Just to See You Smile

I'm just sitting here on the couch, listening to my husband laugh hysterically at the guy doing underarm farts on America's Got Talent. We don't even watch America's Got Talent ... and I really think it is a ridiculous show, but it is making me so happy to hear him laugh.

Well, the knot has been tied and a new chapter of life is starting to write itself. Right before the wedding Charmaine, a sister from college, sent Thomas and me each our own journals inscribed with some advice: "Record the good times in your marriage so that you can look back on them during the bad times." I loved this gift and the idea of capturing moments in our marriage in our own words. Weeks later, I had the pleasure of seeing, Lindsay, a childhood friend again after many years and she was talking about her newest fascination - blogs. I thought back to my own neglected blog and decided to resurrect it as a reminder to everyone else and to myself of the good times that marriage brings. I have heard so many sad and negative quips and stories about marriages that I want to illuminate the small minutes that make me know why I chose to get married. Inspired by my two friends, I've decided to try to jump back on the blog bandwagon to keep the newest, sweetest memories of our marriage alive.
