give me blog, or give me death

A recent blog comment rattled me today. It said "the blog is dead no? si." How disturbing! Of course the blog isn't dead. Looking back I realized I have not posted since November 20, which would make it appear as though I had forfeited blogging altogether. This, however, is not the case. I have only been in a blog slump. You fellow bloggers know "the blog slump." You wanna write, you even save some half written stuff, you go on everyday with full intention of writing ... but alas, nothing comes. This has been my predicament. That, and all the visiting and business (that word is supposed to be busy-ness not like formal business ... weird) that came with returning home and christmas and new years and all that rolled into one.
But it is nice to know that I am not so attached to my blog that if i don't write for a month or so, getting instant "blog comment" feedback on my life, that I'll still make it through alive. But its also nice to know that someone was reading.
So thanks for the patience, thanks for reading, and checking and not reading. But, check in vain no more, I'm back and hopefully in writing action.

I am enrolled in a fiction writing class this semester, so if any fun stories come from dabbling in that I might be posting them. But I might have to drop that class to take biology, which is depressing me already but things must be done if a person wants certain graduate schools to accept them, so if I get stuck in biology I'll probably just be posting long bitter diatribes full of bad language and curses learned from those oh-so-sinful harry potter books about my time in bio. Hmmm, honestly either could be entertaining...

oh yes and the picture ... i'm not 100% sure why I decided to post it but I just love this picture. Its my cute little cousin Mary Marshall at the beach this summer. I think when I thought of "give me liberty or give me death" (hence the blog title) this photo just came to mind ... she looks really free, all thrown out, enjoying the sun. Just enjoying life.

Enjoy!

we feel the smae in it being good to see you :o) Hey, why would you have to take bio to get into grad school? hmm... If you can get Porf. T. Massey for bio, she is easy and a pastor's wife, worth switching. Have a grrrreat last semester!
