Today I feel...

I like to write a lot. That's why I like this blog. Because I get to write stories on it. But today I want you to read a story by somebody else. It is one of my most favorite short stories since high school. It´s called "Eleven" by Sandra Cisneros, a mexican-american writer. I got my first Sandra Cisneros book from my parents for Christmas one year. It was a book of stories called Woman Hollering Creek and in it I found "Eleven."(Has anyone ever noticed how there's no underline button on here??) My sister got a novel by the same lady called House on Mango Street. I haven't read it yet, but I should and I will when I get home.
So enjoy Eleven and then tell me how old YOU feel.

P.S. We're are 2 hours ahead of the U.S. now ... weird!

I don't know why you are in Chile. So, fill me in when you have time. The video I was talking about is when Daniel and I lived at 33 Montagu. Dan and Wen weren't dating. Wendy and Erin Weaver got my video camera and snuck into Daniel's room and found his undies drawer. Or his drawers drawer. They videotaped themselves on my video camera. They were snooping around his room and Wendy even tried on this old pair of drawers Daniel had with holes all in it. It is hilarious. I will have to find it.

Later.

That is a great story mamie. I remember reading it years ago. You have to read House on Mango Street. You will love this book.
And today I feel 8 and 22. I'm tired and cranky. I don't want to get out of bed. I really wish I could fake a stomach ache to get out of school. Except, There is no more school, only life (and work). And I can't really fake a stomach ache through life.

Mamie you know what I did today ... called my mom and asked her if I could call in sick to work because I had a stomach ache. Yeah I know, I'm 22 and I still call mom to see if I am sick enough not to go to work. Sad, just sad.
